The different classes of an American Bully

The American Bully Breed comes in 5 different classes, pocket, classic, standard,xl,and Extreme.

The most popular out of all five classes hands down has to be the pocket class, any trip to a bully show would prove this point when they call pocket males their are lines of dogs waiting to get in to the ring. Lets face it how can you go wrong with a 65 pounds dog that is 13 inches tall. Their are still some proud supporters of all the other classes. Some breeders have come to the realization that it is easier to get a extreme or a xl class dog to champion status then to try to fight your way the the pocket class that has been over taken by Dax bloodline pups. Again its all up to you and what style of dog you think you would like, one thing to keep in mind if you are starting off is the bigger the dog the more its gonna weight. And the pockets can get up to 65 pounds and in weight pulls can pull over 2000 pounds, just keep that in might if you are a first time buyer want to get one of the larger classes.

what to expect out of your new american bully

the american bully is a strong willed breed in its self. it is much like the american pit-bull terriers in many ways, due to they are a foundation on this breed. you will be getting you self a strong but loving dog that will defend your family to its last breath, these dogs by nature are not an aggressive breed but it's how you raise like with most other dog breeds. like i tell most people who are scared of the bullys are that when i went to a show in Chattanooga tn, the only dogs their that were showing any aggression were the Chihuahua's in the back. These dogs are great with children but  with most dog breeds it is better to raise the dog with the children instead of getting a fully grown one thats not use to children.

What to Feed Your new American Bully

Deciding on what to feed your new family member could be a challenging thing for most new bully owners. These are very large dogs and the normal over the counter dog food brands go right threw them. Most of the top breeders feed their dogs raw chicken. You may or may not like this idea when starting out but a little raw chicken here and there helps them build muscle mass and helps keep their insides clean. If you do not want to go this way, their are some different dog food brand you may want to look at. First Diamond Extreme athlete, Sports mix (black bag) or Hunter's special are all good dog food brands to look at, basically  what you are looking for is a dog food brand with over 20% fat and protein. Another good thing to look into is Bully max or any other muscle supplement that are good for dogs. Bully Max is one of the top brands that is highly recommended by most Breeders to have the largest affect on your bully in just a month.

What Bloodlines To look For when getting an American Bully

If you are thinking about getting an American Bully their are some things you want to think about before getting one. One of these things is what bloodline do you wish to get, their is daxline, razor's edge, remy line and some people consider miagi to be a American bully, but he is an Exotic bully, thats for another blog. But yes currently the UKC will let you register miagi bloog line as an American bully but the ABKC will not let you. One of the things you what to look for when choosing the bloodline for your new dog is by what the dogs of that blood line look line and if they are what you think an American bully should look like.
Dax
As you may notice dax is  a pocket bully and is short and wide  with nice bone structure and perfect muscle mass, with a large head.

Remyline
Remy is a taller dog he is from the Razor edge blood line, he has a much larger head and is higher off the ground

Both blood lines have their good and bad points, its had to point out their faults without this post being blown out of the water both daxline and razor edge fans love their breed and will defend  it to their dying breath.
